Ormai sono stati chiariti anche i dubbi formali: Sylvain Guintoli rompe con il Team Liberty e non è più un pilota Ducati Liberty-Effenbert.
Un Comunicato del pilota francese sottolinea che il contratto è da considerarsi ormai terminato per l’impossibilità da parte del Team di fornirgli una moto e i forti dubbi che ciò possa avvenire in futuro.

“Liberty CZ group had contracted to have Sylvain Guintoli to ride for them with the Superbike World Championship 2012. Liberty have confirmed they are unable to provide a bike for Sylvain Guintoli to race at Brno And potentially in the future. Due to this and a failure of Liberty to fulfil other key aspects of the contract, there has been no options but for Sylvain to accept that the contract has to be terminated and notice has formally been given to Liberty that the contract is terminated immediately. Sylvain Guintoli who had fulfilled all of his obligations is disappointed with Liberty’s difficulties and their inability to provide a bike for him at Brno but is now free to take up other rides with immediate effect”.

Liberty Racing chiarisce la situazione burocratica: con un altro Comunicato la struttura tecnica ha reso noto che i problemi sono nati non dal Team ma dalla Gestione amministrativa e da uno sciopero dei meccanici che rende impossibile schierare le moto al completo.
Il Team dichiara dunque di non essere la causa diretta di quanto sta avvenendo e di non poter fare altro che rendere nota la situazione, sottolineando il fatto che alcuni tecnici sarebbero senza stipendio.
